JUNIORS
Le Tennis
Maresfield Lawn Tennis Club is actively participating in LTA's Club Vision programme to encourage more youngsters to take up tennis. (visit www.LTA.org.uk for more information)
Le Tennis aims to offer not only top quality coaching but also plenty of tournaments for all levels. There are several fun tournaments with buffet each year for all intermediate players. These tournaments have been a great success with all the children mixing in.
This past year has been a great year for the junior section of Maresfield with the club being awarded Satellite status. Throughout the year several MLTC and squad juniors have represented Sussex. Jack Burkill, Lauren Waller, Elspeth Griffiths, Kyria Dunford, Gina Bielski, Natasha Forbes and Jane Lavender all made positive contributions.
The summer ended on a real high with Kyria becoming National Doubles Champion in the Under 14 age group and she also won doubles events in France, Belgium and Malta. She then went on to win her first Tennis Europe singles title and picked up her first ITF points. Jane Lavender won the county U18s and U16s singles titles. Elspeth and Jack also took county doubles titles in the U14 and U12 age groups. Kyria was awarded the U14 sportsmanship award in her absence. With all this success it is important not to forget that over 200 juniors, many coached in local schools from age 4 upwards, are being introduced to a wonderful game that they play just because they love it. This year Le Tennis will be running the usual Easter and Summer camps as well as Junior Buffet Tournaments, Superstar events and Matchplay days.
Easter Tennis Camps:
Mini Tennis and Transition Camp: 6th - 10th April : 10.00am - 1.15pm Cost: £85
Performance and Advanced Camp:. 6th - 10th April: 1.45pm - 6.00pm Cost £89
Summer Tennis Camps:
Match Play Camp: 27th July - 31st July 12.00 - 5.00pm Cost £89 (red mini tennis player up to advance yellow ball)
Tennis and Multi Activity Camp: 3rd - 7th August 10am-1.30pm Cost £87
Matchplay Camp: 10th - 14th August 12.00 - 5.00pm Cost £89
Tennis Camp: 17th-21st August 10.00am - 1.30pm Cost £85
