Maresfield Lawn Tennis Club is a forward looking, active club which draws members of all ages from the Uckfield/Maresfield area. Easily accessible from the A22 Maresfield bypass, there is ample car parking a short walk from the clubhouse.
Early in 2001 the existing four outdoor floodlit hard courts were completely resurfaced and a fifth court built. Last year we finished repainting all five courts. We are now looking at refurbishing the practice area and the practicability of installing a mini tennis court on one side.
In the summer Maresfield fields teams in the Horam, Sussex and Weald Leagues whilst juniors represent the club in the National Junior Club League and Tennis Sussex Junior League, and improve their ratings by playing the LTA box leagues. They also play in the Road to Wimbledon, Robinsons Junior Challenge and Aces League.
A "Ladies Doubles Ladder", the aim of which is to provide competitive tennis for ladies who find weekend matches difficult due to family commitments, will run again in 2009 if there is enough interest from members.
Maresfield has recently achieved Tennis Clubmark accreditation and has also achieved Satellite status as a result of the junior coaching programme.
